I'm back...with the Newest Newsom!

Hey to all our family and friends! Well as most of you know we had our beautiful baby girl named Brinley Elisabeth Newsom she was born March 6, 2014 at 1240 am. She was 6 pounds 14 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long! She is perfect. I ended up having to have a c section. She was stuck and it ended up that the cord was wrapped around her neck. Here is our first family photo together:

On April 6th she will be one month old. It is crazy how time flys by. So far she eats, sleeps and poops. She is starting to do better at night. She will sleep 4-6 hours at once at night and then is up about every 2 hours. She loves her car seat and always falls asleep in it and in the car. I am taking 12 weeks off of work. I will be returning the beginning of June. We interviewed an at home daycare last Wednesday and Brinley sure did make a great impression. She had a blow out and the nice ladies ended up cleaning her up and changing her for us. Here are some newborn photos from the photo session we had when she was 1 week old:

Week 38.....Get this out of me!!!

Welcome to week 38.  We are ready to meet our princess.  We had a doctors appointment on Wednesday.  I am dilated between a 2 and a 3 and effaced to 70 percent.  We had a discussion with the doctor about inducing but we plan on holding off for right now to see if she will be coming on her own.  I am still working 3 days a week at the hospital and not having any complications with it.  We are waiting on the bedding we ordered to come in and then her room will be complete.  The wonderful people I work with threw me a baby shower and got Brinley lots of great things.  Freddie and I are both very appreciative of them.  Hopefully next week we will have more news and be that much closer to seeing her.

Week 37....Any day now!

Well I have made it to Week 37. I went to the doctor yesterday and I am 2 centimeters dilated and 60% effaced. My OBGYN made me have a contraction and oh boy let me tell you how much fun that was. I think it hurt more since I was caught off guard and wasn't prepared for it.  But Freddie was there so I could squeeze his pinky! She said she can come any time now. We tell her she can come at any time all the time maybe we should tell her to stay. Brinley is probably too comfortable where she is at. She is still sitting high and hasn't dropped yet. We have her room together minus I am still waiting on her baby bedding which will be done in early March. Freddie and I have our bags packed and put the car seat base in the car so we are all ready. I packed Brinley's bag Freddie doesn't believe I need all the clothes in there but it all fits in her diaper bag with room to spare! My work is throwing me a baby shower on Saturday. Time is counting down! We are so ready to meet our little girl!

Week 36....Happy Valentines Day!

Welcome to Week 36. I went to the doctor on Monday and I am 1 cm dilated and 50 % effaced. It is very exciting to hear hopefully our baby girl will make her debut a little early but not too early. I had a wonderful baby shower last Saturday that was hosted by my sister and a great friend. Brinley got lots of awesome things. I am loving the weekly doctor appointments just because we get to hear her heart beat. I have never really got to feel her kick or move since my placenta in placed in the front of my stomach. Now that she is getting bigger I can feel her butt hit me occasionally which is a nice feeling. I am going to be working till March 10th hopefully I will make it till then. My work is throwing me a baby shower this Saturday. I am very grateful for everyone who has attended my showers or sent gifts. We are very blessed to have such amazing friends and family. Week 35....And Cankles

Well I have made it to Week 35. I officially have canakles as of Tuesday. For those who don't know what they are they are (It is when your feet are so swollen that you can't tell where the calf and the feet meet. There is no ankle shown).  My doctor says everything is fine as long as my blood pressure stays low and there is no other swelling anywhere on the body. I just need to try to elevate my feet as much as possible. We got our last ultrasound of baby girl. She is measuring about 5 pounds and 2 ounces so far. She has hair and is still head down. I am 1/2 centimeter dilated and my cervix is soft. So hopefully everything will go as planned. I am waking up in the middle of the night not due to her kicking or anything but to me starting to become anxious of her arrival. She will be here before we know it. My baby shower is this weekend on Saturday I am excited to see family and friends. I will post pictures of the shower either later this week or next week. Till next time!

Week 34...Almost there!

Welcome to Week 34. I have 6 weeks left till we get to see our baby girl. We have been working a lot on her room to make it ready for here. We got the stroller/car seat from my parents and then the bassinet from his dad and Terri. It was fun learning how to assembly them together. We make a pretty good team I must admit. I can't wait to get her bedding hopefully it will be done at the beginning of March. We are down to weekly doctor appointments now. Hopefully everything will stay ok and I will continue to work till the day Brinley decides she is ready to see the world. Freddie has this whole decorating thing down by the way...as you can see in some of the room pictures. Sorry this week hasn't been that exciting but here are some pictures to enjoy till next week!

Week 33...Brinley's Nursery

Well guys I have made it to Week 33. She is the size of a Pineapple. I start next week with my weekly doctor appointments. Well this past week have have accomplished a lot in Brinley's room. We hired someone to paint her nursery so that was completed on Saturday. Then on my Monday my dad came over to help Freddie put together the furniture. Thank God he did because that furniture was heavy I don't think Freddie could of done it on his own. We are adding things to her room on a daily basis. I hope it isn't too early to start nesting because I do something everyday. I can't believe that I have 7 more weeks to go. Time is just flying by. I guess this means my mom should start sleeping with her phone next to the bed! I got my maternity photos in today as well. They are on Facebook and I will post a few of my favorites on here.
