Week 29 is here and yesterday we celebrated Christmas with the Zooks. I have a doctors appointment on Monday which starts my every 2 weeks appointments. I feel great besides this itchy skin (AAAHHHHHH!). No stretch marks just itchy itchy skin. Feeling her move more and more has become very comforting to me. We will have more news once we have our appointment next week. Till then we wish everyone a Happy New Year!

Week 28....And 3rd Trimester
Sorry for the day late post! I have made it to the final trimester of this pregnancy. I have had a very uneventful pregnancy. I went and spoke with the pediatrician on Tuesday and I am pretty sure that is the one we will go with. Unfortunately all this is new to me so I didn't have any specific questions. I guess only time will come with that. I am now having to see the doctor every 2 weeks to make sure Miss Brinley is behaving and acting like she should. I am still working 6 days a week. 3 days at the hospital and other 3 days at my desk job which 2 of them are at home. I can't believe Christmas is right around the corner. This is our last Christmas as just Freddie and I. Things can only get better from here. We are very thankful for the friends and family in our life. Time is flying by with this pregnancy. Still stocking up on the diapers though....I don't think I will ever have enough. Till next week! Merry Christmas to all of our family and friends!!!!

Week 27....And The Glucose Test
So I finally hit Week 27. I went to the doctor on Tuesday for the dreaded glucose test and I passed! Thank God it was extremely gross. It was like super sweet orange soda and I don't even like orange soda. Freddie got to feel her kick finally. He thought I did it first but I finally convinced him it wasn't me. She is moving around more well at least I am starting to feel her more. I feel her more when I sit down and actually just relax. She is 2 pounds 1 ounce....or at least that is what the sono showed and I am finally starting to feel her movements. We found a lady to make Brinley's bedding in Keller so I am excited to get that going. We have officially moved into the third trimester this week. I am still feeling great through. I have probably had one of the easiest pregnancy's...and yes I know they are not all this easy. We are excited to meet our baby girl...and yes it is still a girl I made the sono lady check. Till next Thursday

Week 26....Freezing Rain
Well today I have made it to Week 26. Brinley is now the size of an Eggplant. We are were suppose to have our Baby Care class tonight at 7 instead Texas got freezing rain. They cancelled the class so now it is postponed till a later date. Welcome to Texas where any freeze shuts everything down. Freddie, my sister, my mom, Jimmy and I all went to Canton last weekend. We found a huge wooden "B" to paint for Brinley's room, a pink and grey chevron lamp shade and a lady to make her bedding. It was a successful shopping trip to say the least. Freddie and I still need to work on her room and getting it together. We are waiting on the swatches to come in from the bedding lady so we can match her paint colors. One Tuesday I go for my glucose test to test for diabetes and we also get a ultrasound done. Can't wait to see the little one!
I had just gotten off from work! Sorry about the scrub picture!

Week 25...Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Freddie and I are both very thankful for all of our friends and family. We spent the day with the Zooks, eating and sleeping, like any good Thanksgiving. Saturday we are going to Canton to look for baby bedding. Once we get the baby bedding we will begin putting the room together and I can't wait! Another outfit was added to Brinley's growing collection thanks to Aunt Kristen and Uncle Jimmy. Brinley's room furniture has come in we are looking forward to getting it put together and to see her room start to come together.

Week 24...And my Birthday
We have made it to Week 24. I celebrated my 28th birthday on Wednesday. It was a good one. We got to tour the hospital that Miss Brinley will be born at and we finished our last Childbirthing class. I am officially 6 months now. Crazy how time is just flying by. I am starting to feel small little movements like butterflys in the stomach. I go back in 3 weeks to the doctor for my glucose test to check for gestational diabetes and the same day I get an ultrasound done to make sure she is growing like she needs to be. We are still waiting on her furniture to come in and when it does I will post pictures. We can't wait to meet our little girl. Yes I am wearing the same shirt I wore the week before...Sorry!

Week 23...And Still Feeling Great
I have hit Week 23 and I still feel great. We had a check up on Tuesday and we got to hear Miss Brinley's heart beat which sounds like a galloping horse. I am starting to feel little flutters occasionally in my stomach. I should really start to feel her soon. We had our second Childbirthing class last night, it went great though. Freddie said he is learning a lot which is great because I have a feeling I may forget everything when the time comes. This next week will be crazy with classes. We go to Breast Feeding on Sunday, Breast Pumping on Tuesday and then our last Childbirthing class on Wednesday, which also happens to be my birthday. So we have a busy week ahead of us. I can't believe I am almost 6 months. Time is going by so fast Miss Brinley will be here before we know it!

Week 22...And Baby Furniture
So we have arrived to Week 22 and she is the size of a Papaya. We got Miss Brinley her room furniture last night before we went to our first Childbirthing class. The childbirthing class was fine for me since I did I semester of Labor & Delivery in nursing school but I am pretty sure Freddie was in for a shock. Even though I am a nurse there is still a lot I do not know about the pregnancy, birthing and newborn process. I guess all of that comes with time and experience. We have 2 more childbirth classes and then a few other classes to take and then we are done. Tonight I had my first real craving...it was cinnamon rolls. Thankfully my husband went to the grocery store and bought cinnamon rolls for me when I got off of work. We have a doctors appointment on Tuesday to listen to her heart beat. It feels like we have to wait forever and it is only a month in between visits. Still waiting for me to feel Miss Brinley. Our OB said at around 2 pounds I should feel her. Till next week!

It is all a little overwhelming but my mom was there to make sure we had stuff we needed. We have out next Dr. appointment November 12th we won't get to see her we will only get to hear her heart beat. Freddie and I had an amazing time in Boston...not to mention they won the World Series last night. Enjoy the rest of your week! Till next Thursday...

Week 20....in Boston!
Thursday marked my half way mark through my pregnancy. We celebrated in Boston. We did a lot of walking and got to see a historic city. I am still feeling great. I have a anterior placenta which means my placenta in the the front of my stomach that is why I haven't felt Miss Brinley move yet. My OBGYN said I should start to feel her in the next few weeks. That is something I am waiting for. This little girl is already spoiled. Her closet is starting to fill up with clothes already including 2 swimsuits that Freddie and I got today at Carters. My pregnancy feels like it is going by so quickly. We can't wait to see Miss Brinley and meet her. In a few weeks we go back to the doctor to hear her heart beat and then 4 more weeks after that I get to do the lovely glucose test! Will post Week 21 picture on Thursday! (Picture was taken at Fenway Park in Boston)

Week 17 is here...Baby Newsom is the size of a onion. I still don't feel pregnant though I am just tired but I am hoping that will change in the next few weeks. I am anxiously waiting for me to feel the baby move! I bought 2 pairs of maternity jeans this past weekend with my mom. Those maternity jeans really make you look pregnant...btw! That was reassuring though. Tomorrow I will be 15 weeks and in 4 more weeks we are able to get the second sonogram and also learn the sex of the baby....very exciting.

Starting a new chapter
So I have decided to start a blog to keep family and friends updated on the progress of the newest Newsom. Freddie and I found out on July 19th that we are expecting our first child. When the test came back positive I couldn't have had been more excited to share the news with Freddie. We decided not to let anyone know that we were expecting until our first sonogram which wasn't until August 27th...which, by the way, seemed like forever. I was expecting to be about 9 weeks at the time of the sonogram but it turned out I was at about 12 weeks. Going forward I am planning on doing weekly updates on the progress of the new addition to the family.
